Justin Wheatley was born and raised in Clinton, Utah. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Utah State University with an emphasis in drawing and painting and a Masters in Education from National University. His work is influenced by his love for nature and architecture. Justin currently resides in Salt Lake City with his wife and four daughters.

Southwest Art: “Wheatley thinks a lot about the fact that people can see what’s on the outside of buildings, but not what goes on inside them or the layers of history inside their walls. “No matter what we make, construct, or destroy, we are still surrounded by the presence of what has existed since long before our time. I can’t help but feel that I am not a creator of art, only a manipulator of what already exists.”
