Joshua Baird was raised in a family which encouraged the arts. Born in Salt Lake City, Joshua’s early years were influenced by sculptors, painters, musicians, photographers and the distinctive Utah landscape. Josh has always been fascinated by landscape; much of his free time while a youth was spent exploring the mountain and desert regions of the inter-mountain west.

Joshua studied Art at Brigham Young University in Provo,Utah and Utah State University in Logan and received a Bachelor of Arts in art and a Master of Arts from Southern Oregon University. Joshua’s preferred medium is oil but also enjoys pastel, watercolor, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. The primary subject found in his artwork is landscape.
