Cassandria was born in Canton, China. She has lived in Utah since 1964 and earned her BFA from the University of Utah. Since her graduation, she has painted almost every day. The love of painting directs her life in a peaceful and joyful way.
Cassandria has participated in numerous solo and group shows during her painting career. In 2012, she participated in several exhibits to benefit community projects, including 300 plates for Art Access in Salt Lake City, Art Squared for The Spring City Heritage foundation, and the Pamela Atkinson Foundation for the homeless. In May of 2012 she was commissioned by the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City to paint five paintings for a new senior citizens’ center. Cassandrias’s work has been collected widely by private individuals and business owners.
Cassandria has a home and studio in Spring City, where she finds inspirations for her daily painting subjects. If you would have taken a stroll around Spring City, you would easily recognize many subjects depicted in her paintings. There are weathered farm houses and sheds, and sheep that graze in the pastures. You would see flowers that bloom brilliantly in garden plots and along the roadside, and chickens scratching as they move freely about. These are among the subjects that inspire her to share her life through art.
